One person has been killed while three others have sustained injuries in a clash among 10 Afghan migrants on the Greek island of Lesvos.
Greek police say that the dead person; an Afghan migrant, was known to them. He was recently released after serving a prison sentence for human trafficking in the summer of 2015.
He was living in rented accommodation in a village about four kilometers away from the infamous Moria migrant camp.
Over 8,500 refugees and migrants are staying on Lesvos, with 6,600 living in the camp which has a capacity for 2,300.
With the cause of the altercation unknown, Greek police have launched an investigation into Sunday’s incident.
