An elderly female tourist was found unconscious in the sea in Ayia Napa on Thursday, November 7. Lifeguards brought her to shore and administered first aid. Eventually, she was rushed to Famagusta Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The exact reasons for her death will be established by a post-mortem.
Her identity remains unknown for the time being.
