Migration and Labour Ministry officials carried out checks at a Limassol construction site where 16 workers were found to have no documentation with them as regards their identity and they were arrested, police said.
After further checks it was determined that all 16 ( 15 men and one woman) had submitted fake documents to their employers. They were taken to Limassol CID offices where two were found to be in Cyprus illegally.
All 16 are under arrest as Limassol police continue their investigation.
