The Police immediately opened a case for the 42-year-old truck driver who was seen driving with his feet and demanded that his professional and regular driver’s license be withdrawn. According to information from the Police, the investigation carried out by the Limassol Traffic Police has been completed and has bee forwarded to court yesterday for immediate hearing.

The case was registered with the Larnaca District Court after it was identified that at the time of the offense, the truck was being driven on the Larnaca-Kofinou highway. As far as the 42-year-old’s charges are concerned, these include the offense of dangerous and negligent driving and driving with no hands.

According to the law, negligent driving is punishable by imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or a fine of 1,200 euros, or both. The offense was committed last week when the driver posted a live Facebook feed of himself driving his truck driving with his feet.

Once the Police were able to identify the driver, he was called to the Limassol Traffic Police for a statement where he denied being the driver of the truck. Despite his denial, the police went ahead and charged him in writing.
