Eleni Plakidi,69, who was found dead in the Akamas area on Monday morning after being missing from her home in Argaka since January 10, died by drowning, the post mortem results revealed on Wednesday.
According to the post mortem, carried out by state pathologist, Eleni Antoniou, Plakidi drowned in sea water.
The body of the 69-year-old was found on Monday morning in a ravine in the Akamas area.
Plakidi left her home on January 10 to buy something from a kiosk and had not been seen since.
Her car was located a day after she disappeared, locked, in the sea area of Akamas, reportedly between Fontana Amorosa and Blue Lagoon areas. Not far from the car, some of her personal belongings had been found, including her handbag.
Her family reported she was suffering from memory problems.
Plakidi’s funeral is to take place on Saturday afternoon in Argaka.
