A 39-year-old man from Paphos was remanded on Tuesday for two days for allegedly neglecting his dogs, which were found locked up in a cage.
The man was arrested after police received a report that he was keeping three dogs in horrid conditions in an enclosure in an open space in the Paphos district and that one of them had died.
Paphos police officers went to the site where they found two dogs in the cage but not the dead one, as per the report.
He was arrested on Monday in connection with offences concerning the law on animal welfare.
