A 26-year-old man from Nicosia was remanded for four days on Friday in connection with a case of possessing and distributing child pornography and disseminating information on the subject.
The man was arrested after the police electronic crime prevention unit received information from Europol that a Facebook user had sent a child pornography video through his account.
A mobile phone found on the possession of the 26-year-old was seized as evidence.
The suspect admitted to the offence, police said.
