A 77-year-old man died on Thursday after sustaining severe injuries when he fell from the rooftop of his house in Ayios Dhometios, Nicosia.
According to the police, the man had gone up to the roof to do some tiling work.
At one point he lost his balance, falling to the ground from a considerable height.
The man was rushed to Nicosia general hospital, where doctors were not able to save his life.
He was pronounced dead shortly after noon.
