New App Launched to Protect Travelers’ Consumer Rights While Visiting Greece

This week the General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE), the largest trade union in the country, released a new app which is designed to help protect travelers’ consumer rights while they are visiting Greece.

It was launched as a part of GSEE’s Summer Campaign for Protection – Information and Support of Greek and Foreign Travelers in Greece, which is taking place this week.

The app can be used with both Android and iOS mobile devices and is called “Travelers Rights GR”. It is available in both English and Greek.

Along with legal information and consultation about accommodation, food, tips, parking spaces, and non-smoking venues, it also provides several service categories such as Air Travel, Ferry, Taxi, Hotels to travelers. Additionally, important information for travelers to have on hand such as information about airports, ports, tourist police, embassies and sending emergency messages to the Greek authorities is also included in the app.
