4.7 Richter Scale Earthquake Rocks the Dodecanese

An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 on the Richter scale occurred at 18:56 on Tuesday in the Dodecanese, according to the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory.

The epicenter of the quake was located in the marine area northwest of Astypalea island and southeast of Amorgos island. The focal depth has been estimated at 10km.

The earthquake was particularly felt on the island of Astypalea. No damages were reported after the tremors.
