A group of friends enjoying their coffee on the Greek island of Rhodes had to run for their lives as lightning struck next to their balcony.
The man who captured the terrifying moment on video wrote on Facebook that the strike missed them “by a whisker”.
A weather front dubbed ‘Minos’ is bringing storms and hail to Rhodes in Dodecanese and the rest of Greece.
The weather front has arrived from the Adriatic and will remain over most of mainland Greece until Tuesday, bringing a substantial drop in temperatures.
Minos began to affect Greece on Friday morning with rain, storms and isolated hailstorms, initially in the Ionian and western regions of the country.
