Two types of frozen chicken were recalled from the market on Friday after they were found to contain salmonella.
According to the ministry of health, one is frozen chicken gyro of the D Koumantaris Fresh Products. The production date is 29/01/2018 and the expiration date a year later.
The product is wrapped in plastic and weighs 500g, produced by DHMOLY Ltd.
Chicken sheftalia, under the banner ‘frozen meals Melis’ produced on 18/4/2018 and set to expire on 17/10/2018 weight 0.995kg has also been found to contain salmonella bacteria.
The health ministry said they were also cooperating with the veterinary services as part of the investigation.
