Unstable weather is expected to last until Thursday, with local rains and isolated storms in the mountains and inland. When storms hit, hail cannot be ruled out.
Winds are going to be moderate to strong on Wednesday and Thursday and the highest temperatures are forecast to be 29C to 31C at the coast, 35C around Nicosia and 24C in the Troodos region.
They will drop to 13C in the higher mountains and 20C elsewhere at night.
According to the met office, on Friday and Saturday sunny weather will prevail and it will be slightly warmer.
