Police early on Tuesday arrested a man in Chlorakas, Paphos, who was about to get into a stolen vehicle with burglary tools, the said.
The vehicle which was stolen in Peyia last week was being watched by officers who saw a car with three people in it stopping near the stolen vehicle on Monday evening at 10pm.
One of them got out of the car, which kept going, and walked up to the stolen vehicle when police intervened.
The officers arrested the 22-year-old suspect who made an attempt to escape.
They found burglary tools in the man’s possession. He has reportedly been involved in thefts and burglaries before.
