Police on Tuesday arrested a man who escaped earlier in the day from police custody after he was taken to Larnaca hospital for treatment.
Yaser Abdalbaqi, 32, from Palestine was located and arrested at around 9.40pm in a village in the Larnaca district.
He had been held in connection with car arson and issuing threats last Friday.
Earlier Tuesday, officers seeking the suspect had searched the home of a 37-year-old man in Larnaca.
During the search, they found the wanted man’s car and a stolen motorbike, handcuffs, and 1.5 grammes of cannabis and a precision scale.
The homeowner was arrested to facilitate investigations.
