Greece has felt a number of earthquakes on Tuesday, with the latest being a 4.8 Richter scale tremor 68 kilometers (42 miles) southeast of Kalamata in the Peloponnese.
Striking at 11.52 a.m. local time (0852GMT), there have been no reports of any injuries.
The European Seismological Center said it took place at a depth of 10 kilometers.
Last month, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake also occurred in the southern part of the Peloponnese, according to the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory.
The epicenter of the quake was located off the coast of Neapolis at a 13 kilometers’ depth.
