A driver was arrested after he was tested for alcohol and found to be six times over the legal limit in Paphos on Monday evening.
The 48-year-old man, a resident of Paphos, was stopped by police on the Tombs of the Kings avenue.
A breathalyser revealed he had 160mg instead of the allowed 22mg in his bloodstream.
When he was asked to undergo a final check to confirm the result he resisted and was arrested, police said.
