Creative, educational summer schools for children at Frederick University

The department of educational sciences at Frederick University, adopting the pedagogical principles that learning is joyful, creation is developing imagination, curiosity guides children’s action and nature engenders multiple senses, this summer continues its Summer School ‘Funtasia’ and the ‘School of Nature’.

Children will have the opportunity to imagine, create, embrace nature and life, play and learn to have fun. The activities of both ‘schools’ include: art, robotics, theatre, music, science, constructions, sports, narration, musical-music games and were designed by the department’s scientific staff.

Funtasia will give children aged 6 to 12 an opportunity to experience an exciting summer adventure through a range of recreational, educational, scientific and artistic activities. Four distinct weeks, four different themes, four unprecedented trips, four exciting dives: ‘Dive to the globe’, ‘Dive into the world of machines and inventions’, ‘Dive into the world of animals and plants’ and ‘Dive into words and colours’.

The School of Nature offers a unique learning experience in nature to children aged 4 to 10 through a range of recreational, educational, scientific and artistic activities. The programme dynamically combines free and structured play, activities and learning through short and emerging projects that engage children on the basis of their interests, having as a source of inspiration and raw material nature and the forest.

Cost: €80 per week for each child (including breakfast). For more than three weeks €65 for each additional week. For the second child of a family a 10 per cent discount applies and for the third child a 20 per cent discount.
