Both southbound lanes near the Kofinou exit on the Nicosia to Limassol motorway temporarily closed on Friday morning due to an accident, police said.
The incident occurred at around 9.30am, involving a collision between a car and a truck. Police officers are in the area to facilitate traffic. An ambulance has been called, police said, although it is not yet known if there are injuries.
Drivers are urged to be especially careful and patient, drive at low speed, and keep a safe distance from vehicles in front of them.
