Employees of the Larnaca bus company Zenon will travel to the Transport Ministry today, the second day of an indefinite strike in protest at the non-payment of their wages.
The company’s board is also due to meet today in what is seen as critical to the future of the company.
As Larnaca struggles without buses, employees said they will continue to strike until they receive all their wages.
Yesterday they were paid 50% of their June salaries.
At a meeting yesterday, the Transport Ministry asked Zenon representatives to explain the reasons which led to the strike and urged them to take all necessary measures for it to end.
The company says it has money owed to it from the state, something denied by the ministry.
