A crew member has been air lifted to Larnaca after being taken ill while on board ship sailing south of Paphos.
The Cyprus Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) said that it had activated the Nearchos Scheme after receiving notification at 6.40 am that a crew member needed medical assistance.
A helicopter was sent to the ship accompanied by medical personnel, picked up and the crew member and brought him back to Larnaca Airport.
From there he was taken by ambulance to hospital.
