Screams of pain as pressure problem hits Larnaca bound plane

Travellers on a flight from London to Larnaca reportedly screamed in pain when the pressure inside the cabin skyrocketed due to a technical fault on Sunday afternoon.

The British Airways plane was about to take off for the four-hour trip when the plane’s computer pressurised the cabin as a malfunctioning computer indicated it was already in the air.

The increased pressure caused passengers to feel their ears and heads ache while reports say one man fainted.

Some passengers reportedly clutched their ears in pain while others screamed they wanted the crew to open the doors.

Reports say a passenger overheard the crew saying the aircraft was old and going to be withdrawn within the next three months.

The British airline allegedly said there was little technical damage and that the aircraft returned to the parking lot while engineers repaired the damage before the flight was finally made.

“Our highly skilled flight and cabin crew are trained to deal with situations like this, and our cabin crew reassured and cared for customers after there was a minor technical fault before the aircraft departed,” the airline said.
