The 27 year old owner of Rottweiler dogs believed to have mauled a 46 year old woman to death in Geroskipou will appear before the Paphos Criminal Court today to answer charges of manslaughter and causing death by negligence.
A third charge of possessing dogs without a licence has been dropped.
His arrest followed the death on February 22 of Petrouna Milkova who was found in a field near to the defendant’s premises with fatal injuries, initially attributed to an agricultural accident. But later post-mortems– a total of five were held on the victim– determined that she died
The 27 year has been free on 100,000 euro bail. He has surrendered his travel documents, his name has been placed on the stop list and he must report to the police station daily. He was also ordered to ensure that his dogs are on a leash and are muzzled.
