A four year old boy from Russia is in very serious condition at Makarios Hospital where he was air lifted after falling into a pool and nearly drowning at a holiday villa in Peristerona, near Polis Chrysochous late on Tuesday afternoon.
The boy, who is on holiday with his family, was pulled from the villa’s swimming pool and was taken initially to Polis Chrysochous Hospitals and from there rushed to Paphos Hospital where doctors battled to save his life. From there he was air lifted to Nicosia’s Makarios Hospital by police helicopter.
The family has been on holiday in Cyprus for the past week.
