Corinth Canal to Shut Down for 15 Days Due to Landslide (video)

The Corinth Canal will shut down for about 15 days after heavy rainfall caused a mass landslide, according to the Peloponnese and Ionian Islands Region authority.

The Port Authority has banned the passage of ships from the canal. Ships will have to sail around Southern Peloponnese until further notice.

According to korinthostv.gr, which posted a video of the landslide, a large part of the slope fell into the canal.
