Police said Saturday the road from Panayia to Kilada ton Kedron in Paphos was closed due to rock-slide but no major problems were caused to the main road network by the heavy rain that fell overnight.
A police statement said the Panayia to Kilada ton Kedron road was closed near Kountoures after a rock-slide late on Friday afternoon.
The authorities were notified to clean the road, police said.
No other major problems were reported but police appealed to motorists to be cautious when driving on the wet roads.
Police urged the public to drive slowly and keep a safe distance from the vehicles ahead.
Motorists must also avoid driving through puddles because there was a danger of skidding and hydroplaning, police said.
Where necessary, drivers should turn on their lights to make their vehicles visible.
