The committee which probed the collapse of the co-op bank, on Friday handed over its hefty findings report to the attorney-general though it will not be made public just yet.
The report, spanning over 800 pages, was the result of a seven-month probe into the causes of the bank’s demise.
It covers both the period before 2013, the year the island’s economy collapsed, and its management during the five years that followed resulting in the lender being shuttered in 2018.
The report will not be made public immediately because it could affect ongoing trials related to alleged wrongdoings by former co-op officials.
