A 33-year-old tourist remains in a serious condition in Paphos hospital after she was hit by a car on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the police, the driver, a 38-year-old woman, said three pedestrians were waiting at the side of the Tombs of the Kings road for the traffic light to turn green when the woman, a Lithuanian national, suddenly attempted to cross the road and was struck by the vehicle.
She was taken to Paphos general hospital by ambulance and doctors say she has serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The driver, who was arrested, was not under the influence of alcohol.
