President Nicos Anastasiades and his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic will chair the 2nd Intergovernmental Conference between Cyprus and Serbia on Friday morning in Nicosia during which the two sides will sign Memoranda of Understanding in various fields.
Heading a large ministerial delegation, Vucic will be received at the Presidential Palace. The two presidents will hold a tete-a-tete meeting to be followed by consultations between the delegations of the two countries.
Bilateral relations, the Cyprus issue, EU-Serbia relations, migration crisis, energy, regional developments and diaspora issues will be on the agenda of the talks. A Joint Declaration is expected to be issued after they conclude.
The two presidents will also make statements to the press and will attend a working lunch.
Government Spokesman Prodromos Prodromou has said that the Conference contributes to the constant development of the excellent historical ties between Cyprus and Serbia.
