A 71 year old woman died after losing her balance and falling from a ladder at her home in Liopetri.
Panayiota Savva was found by her son on Friday afternoon who called the ambulance service and police.
She was apparently trying to get some clothes from a storage area when she fell from a ladder, hit her head on a step and fell down the stairs.
Police have at first sight ruled out foul play.
Doctors pronounced her dead at Famagusta General Hospital. The exact cause of death will be determined at a post-mortem to be held today.
