Two 11-year-old girls were killed in a traffic accident in the early hours of Sunday morning when the car they were in, driven by a 40-year-old, overturned and ended up on the central reservation of the Limassol to Nicosia highway.
The driver and two other passengers, boys aged 14 and 15 did not sustain any serious injuries.
As a result of the accident part of the highway was closed to traffic in both directions – between the exits for Moni and Parekklisia.
