Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan is set to visit the north on July 9, his first visit after bring sworn in again after his recent re-election, and immediately after the ceremony.
According to the DHA news agency, during his visit Erdogan will officially open the Hala Sultan mosque in Mia Milia.
The mosque is huge – it covers an area of 37,000 square metres. It has four minarets and 6,000 people can pray in it at any one time.
