Anarchists Fight with Police for 2 Hours in Central Athens

Share this:

Friday night in central Athens was just another weekend night of anarchists throwing molotov cocktails and rocks at police in Exarchia.

This time the hurling of dangerous objects at police lasted a solid two hours with Tositsa Street — next to the National Technical University of Athens — turning into a battlefield.

It all started a little before midnight with a group of people in hoodies coming down Tositsa Street and attacking the police force between NTUA and the National Archaeological Museum on Patission Street.

Patission Street remained closed for quite a while as skirmishes continued for at least two hours.
